Orchard and Veggie Garden
“The oceans and their fullness, the myriad trees and mountains, the endless winds . . . all sing the abundance and wealth of the Creator.”
—Michael Menahem Gottlieb, Founder of Royal Way
A deep appreciation for beauty and the abundance of the Creator is at the core of the Royal Way life, so it is fitting and natural that Royal Way Spiritual Center boasts a huge orchard—500 trees bursting with fruit—and an organic garden that produces delightful fresh vegetables year-round.

The Royal Way community lovingly tends both the orchard and the veggie garden, and the Royal Way Ranch kitchen frequently serves their bounty during spiritual retreats. Expect cherry cobbler, apricot jam, and apple crumble. Expect fruit platters and crisp salads, and enjoy fresh seasonal vegetables such as zucchini, cauliflower, and eggplant. A walk through the orchard is truly an experience of abundance, as figs, cherries, apples, plums, apricots, pears, mulberries, and pomegranates hang bountifully from the trees, ripe for the picking.

Tending to the Orchard and Veggie Garden is one of the many opportunities that Royal Way Ranch provides for experiencing service. Michael Menahem Gottlieb writes to his pupils: “The purpose of service is turning the least valued item, the least significant item, into the most significant action. It is the process of transforming the most menial into the most sublime that creates an energy of transformation.”
